Optimum Polymer (OP) EOR

Enhance Oil Recovery Flooding Polymer

The complexity of the geology and other characteristics of oil reservoirs mean that different polymer products are required for different reservoirs.

Optimum Polymer develops characteristic polymers with high viscosity, anti-salinity, thermal stability, shear resistance and eco-friendly system, etc.

OP EOR

  • OP EOR category offers cost effective products that are suitable for various types of reservoir.
  • OP EOR can meet the requirement for chemical compatibility with the injection water and formation conditions.
  • OP EOR polymers have obvious characteristics.

Type I: Conventional Polymer

Type I: Conventional Polymer

Type I: Conventional Polymer

Salinity resistance < 6000mg / L or Ca²⁺ or Mg²⁺ < 200mg / L, Thermal stable at temperature < 90 °C (194 °F)

Type II: Superior Polymer

Type I: Conventional Polymer

Type I: Conventional Polymer

Polymer refers to the salt resistant polymer with medium salinity ≥ 6000mg / L or Ca²⁺ or Mg²⁺  ≥  200mg / L which is suitable for liquid preparation water.

Type III: HE Polymer

Type IV: Nano Microsphere Polymer

Type IV: Nano Microsphere Polymer

Salinity resistance 250,000 ppm. These polymer could resist 180 °C  (365 °F)

Type IV: Nano Microsphere Polymer

Type IV: Nano Microsphere Polymer

Type IV: Nano Microsphere Polymer

It is designed to improve the sweep efficiency., especially workable in consolidated oil reservoir with low permeability and porosity. Applicable to salinity up to 300,000 ppm 130 °C  (266 °F)

Case Study

Oilfield A is fully covered with class I and II reservoirs, and class III reservoirs are rich in resources, including class III-2 reservoirs. The reserves are 115 million tons, and the average recovery rate of water drive is only 27.7%. It is urgent to change the development mode.

OP EOR series products have been commercially used in the Oilfield A.

The accumulated oil increase is 282000 tons, and the oil recovery has been improved 6.5%, expected to increase by 8.5%
